About Fredlena
I've learned that what we carry matters. What we do with it matters even more.

A little about me
I've spent much of my life helping people figure out what comes next. Sometimes that means asking a question nobody thought to ask. Other times, it means recognizing what's missing and knowing how to build from there.
Much of what I know about leadership came from doing the work. I've discovered that experience can teach you things a title never will.
The story behind the work
Much of what I learned to build, I discovered by being willing to serve.
Service has placed me in rooms where decisions mattered and people depended on the outcome. I've had opportunities to lead, support others and work through situations that didn't come with straightforward answers.
Those experiences shaped how I approach leadership. I learned to listen carefully, ask questions and take responsibility for what happens after a decision is made.
What the work taught me
Vision and execution belong in the same conversation.
One of the most important parts of my work has been developing mitigation plans.
I don't believe we should wait until something goes wrong to figure out what to do. I look for potential problems early, consider their impact and develop practical ways to address them.
Good strategy considers what we're trying to accomplish. Responsible leadership also considers what could prevent us from getting there.
For me, identifying a problem is only the beginning. What matters is developing a plan that people can actually execute.
Faith & Conviction
What God places in our hands matters.
My faith has shaped how I understand responsibility. I believe we're accountable for what we've been given and how we choose to use it.
That understanding influences how I serve and what I build.
Sometimes stewardship requires you to finally use it.
Experience that informs my work
My background includes:

The work continues
Building work that can serve beyond the moment.
I'm interested in more than helping people get through what's immediately in front of them. I want the decisions we make today to strengthen what we're building for tomorrow.
Whether I'm speaking, advising or helping an organization work through a challenge, I bring the same approach: understand the situation, recognize what needs attention and determine what it will take to move forward.
Advisory work
When the work requires structure.
Through Chayil Advisory Resource, my strategic and organizational work extends into ministries, nonprofits, leaders, boards, and organizations that need stronger structures behind meaningful vision.
